Early day residence which stood at the corner of 6th and Cedar where post office was built which is now City Hall, Rawlins. Update - 2009: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on tan matboard. Image of two women & two children posed in front of a rectangular clapboard house. Four windows & a door spaced across front - door in center. Single brick chimney. Other houses, church & hills in background. White picket fence in front. Dirt yard & street. Women are wearing dark, long-sleeve, long dresses. One child is wearing a dress & standing between women. Women & child are standing in open gate. Other child is bundled up & sitting on ground at left; appears to be a small farm animal behind him. Written on back in pencil: "Rawlins Home" "Post Office" "at one time Richard Daley". [black ink] "This is the home of one of the Rankin Brothers, prominent men of early Rawlins. The U.S. Post Office (old P.O.) now stands here. Stamped on back in black ink: "Meyers Studio Rawlins, Wyoming" Good condition. Back soiled. Emulsion cracked along left side & top.
