Description

When the sewer was laid on Pine Street in 1900. This is the 100 block. Man at far right is John Swanson when he first came over from Sweden and he was about 20 years old. He later bought the house at 203 W. Pine and lived there until his death. Update - 2009: Sepia print on mat board of group of men with shovels on either side of a ditch in the street. On photo left is a boy sitting & a dog beside him. In photo center is a man with a transit on a tripod. There is a large pipe beside ditch.
