Typing Class at Rawlins High School, teacher unknown.
Update 2/2010: Black and white print on high school age typing class. There is one boy and 10 girls seated at two long tables in two rows each with typewriters in front of them. They are all loaded with paper and an open vertical book is on the table between the typewriters. A young woman is standing at the near corner of back wall. The shades on the two windows are closed. A white #464 in lower right corner from negative. Written on back in blue ink : " Found in old Central School building (built 1886) when it was closed as a school in 1959." Brought to museum by Robert Sullens." Written on back in pencil: "Mellie Murphy, Besse Lambertson, Bonita Hanson, Bess Bowlus, teacher."
Fair condition. Print is wrinkled at several locations, corners and edges are bent or worn. Image has a blurred appearance. Small tears at side left edge.Collection
