Found in the old Central School that was built in 1886 and torn down in 1959. Christel Humphreys, Francis Smith (teacher), Everett Garnder, Ed Sjdenham, Francis Borgs about 1935.
Update 2/2010: Black and white print of a school class composed of boys and girls seated at their wooden desks. There are 5 rows of desks which are attached to each other. A black board is attached to the wall and surrounds the visible room. A clock and two photographs are seen on high walls. A white #461 is printed at side left from negative. A tall woman dressed in black is standing in front of the blackboard at rear of class. The children are looking at the camera. Many have their hands clasped together on the desk top.
Written in blue ink: "Found in the old Central School house Rawlins, which was built in 1886, when it was closed for good. Brought to museum by Robert Sullens." "3-Christel Humphreys". Written in pencil: "Everett Gardner, Ed Sydenbaun, Francis Bongo, Francis Smith (teacher). Written in blue ink: "Around 1935."
Fair condition. Print is soiled front and back with worn edges and bent worn corners. Print has wrinkled appearance with linear cracks in emulsion at various locations. Horizontal streaky side right and cloudy look at top right of image. Side left and right edges are curled upward.Collection
