Black & white print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard. Image of two steam locomotive engines on tracks in a railyard with a tender between them. Front engine is #1279. Tender is loaded on a flat card - its own wheels missing. Second engine is extremely beat up & has no cab. Open car at far left appears to be filled with parts.
Buildings behind & hill in background. Multiple tracks in foreground.
These damaged trains may be the remaining salvagable pieces from the O'Neil train wreck. Engine #1279 appears as the first engine in photos of that wreck. See O'Neil train Wreck photos in the collection.

Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size - edges rough & uneven. Back surface peeled off around edges & exposing mat interior; lower left corner missing. Image stained, soiled & scratched.
One 3 12 x 5 1/8 black & white copy print. Written on back in black ink: "Old Engine" "15".
