Description

Found in the old Central School in 1959. Appears to be a high school assembly in a multi-purpose room (see balcony). No identification. Update 2/2010: Black and white print and one copy of a large group of high school age men and women seated in an auditorium like room in individual chair seats with arm rests on each side. Many of the girls have on middy blouses with loose neck ties. the young men are mostly wearing suits. A balcony with visible rows of seats is seen at upper area of back of room. Side left wall has blackboards along entire wall with writing on the blackboard. A small white number #449 is at lower left of image from negative. Written on back in black ink: "Found in old Central School building, given to Museum by Robert Sullins, Rawlins." Written in blue ink: "1959. NOTE: This does not relate to image which is ca. 1935.). Good condition with soiling on front and back. Worn and crimped edges .Slight tear at side right edge. Print has a wrinkled appearance and fine line cracks at top right. Dark smudge on back side right. Left and right edges are curled up. Copy print measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/8. Good condition. Image has blurry appearance. Written on back in black ink: "No. 8 Page 16. Central School."
