313 W. Front about 1910. Was Milwaukee Beer Hall of Anderson and Larson, 1900. Anderson and Olson, Minneapolis Beer Hall in 1910. Original building built in 1883 by Rasmusson and Wallace.
Update - 2009: Print 1: Black & white print attached to gray matboard which has engraved border. Image shows a saloon with two men standing by doorway. Man on left is dressed in three piece suit & high dormer hat. Man on right is wearing dark trousers, white shirt, dark vest, dark sleeve protectors & a long white apron. He has his arms crossed at chest level. Lower edge of building is sandstone blocks. There are very large two panel windows on each side of the doorway. Both windows have white lettering that reads: Minneapolis Beer Hall. Bottles of liquor are lined along left window edge with half curtain hanging behind them. Small framed signs on each narrow wall of building to left front at door reads: Golden Grain Belt Beers Anderson & Larson Distributors. A globe light hangs from a black curved rod over the doorway with the word BAR printed on it. A wooden plank sidewalk is in front of the building. Original building build in 1883 by Rasmusson & Wallace.
Good condition. Matboard has wear around all edges with a large tear on side right with exposed layers. Print has minor scratches, dimpling, & a few indentions on side right. There are remnants of clear tape on back of mat which held a note that was removed. There are smudges on back edges.
Print 2: Identical size & matboard. Written on back in blue ink which has been scratched out "bought stone building west of Club Saloon from France Estate 5-12-18".
Good condition. Mat has slight wear on edges & soiling on back. Print has minor scratches in emulsion & slight dimpling.Collection
