July 1913, Buffalo Bill and Pawnee Bill's Wild West Advertising. Arrived in town July 4th. This was to take place July 26. Show never took place as it was in Denver. Prepaid ticket holders lost their money. Milwaukee Beer Hall, 313 W. Front, Pete Johnson.
Update 2009: Black and white print attached to black mat. Image of businesses on 300 block of Front St. Sign above store reads: "Golden Grain Belt Beers". Other signs on front: "Anderson & Larson Diplomat Rye." In a window: "Buffalo Bills Wild West Pawnee Bills Rawlins Saturday July 26". Building to photo left is Tivoli Bar. Sign on store is vertical hanging: "TIVOLI". A wagon sits on street in front of buildings, a man is on seat holding reins of light colored horse. Six men stand on walk in front of window with painted sign reading: "Minneapolis Beer Hall". Building to photo right sign only partially visible reads: "Milwaukee Beer". Paper taped to back reads: "300 block Front St. Rawlins July 1913 Buffalo Bill Pawnee Bill advertizing, car arrived in town July 4. Show was to take place July 26. Condition good. Liquid stain on mat top right, accretion, emulsion impacted, fingerprints, mat edges and corners worn.
One 4 13/16 x 5 7/8" black & white cop print. Written on back in black ink: "Man in front of horse was Richard Larsons[sic] Father".Collection
