Postcard featuring a sepia tone photograph. Photo is taken from a hilltop and is looking South, features a view of the back of the State Penitentiary, text in the bottom right corner reads "D 3044. BIRDSEYE VIEW OF RAWLINS, WYO." On the reverse is the text "POST CARD" along with a stamp and a post mark of January 8, 1909. A hand written message reads as follows: Rawlins Wyo. 1/8/09 We are now in this place get here & last might until we are here about noon today and are getting along only now. only the wind in front following a gale it been my hat. over on of the mighty budlings here remain as every yours Bob The postcard is addressed to a Miss Agnes Helman of Shoshone, Idaho.
