1 photo captured near Ferris-Haggarty Mine. The photo features a woman in dark jeans and a light blue button-up shirt wearing glasses and a cowboy hat crawling through the snow. Behind the woman are evergreen trees and the wooden legs of a building. Written in pen at the bottom of the picture: Ferris-Haggerty Mine -- June 17 - 1973. Joan Cozart. Love Mom. There is also writing on the back of the card, it goes as follows:
My left foot is not to the ground. Most of the snow is 4 feet deep -- with dry patches in blow areas only. Drifts were up to 12 - 15 ft. deep yet (snow crusted). P.S. What a sunburn! (snow burn)! June 17 - 1973
Bill Zerbe, Tom Lawrence and I walked in -- 4 1/2 miles. Creek waters were too deep and swift; so we had to walk completely around all the crossings -- making distance about 6 miles. Wet -- cold feet ha!
