Black & white oval studio portrait on grey-green mat & one copy. Mat has cream border & parallel lines around image. Image of a man in a three piece dark suit, print shirt & dark tie. He has a watch & fob attached to his vest button. His hair is parted on the left & he has a full mustache.
Written on back in blue ink: "Tom Roberts, Sand Creek Ferris, WY May 1881" Sand Creek P.O. located at east end of Ferris Mt." "Came to Wyo. in a covered wagon in 1880 From Iowa" On white adhesive tag in pencil: "Roberts Cantlin" In red: "X"
Good condition. Scratched, soiled, mat has accretion. & scrapes on paper on right side. Mat has been cut down. Size 5 1/8 x 6 7/8.
