People on street are wearing coats & hats & there is snow on the ground. Clapboard buildings are in the background behind a picket fence. There is a flag flying above center building. Photo taken on 200 Block of Cedar St.
Written on back in pencil: "200 Block Cedar St"
Condition: Good. Slightly creased.
Note: An authority on the New York to Paris Auto Race of 1908 stated that this image is the Thomas Flyer automobile. He noted the long planks with the iron rod trusses that run the length of the car. He noted that from newspaper accounts it arrived in Rawlins on March 11 at approximately 10:35 a.m., greeted by many people and the town band. Lee Probst was to guide the Flyer from Medicine Bow to Rawlins, but a disagreement arose as to the best way to go.
