Main Street and business district looking west at Saratoga, July 25, 1948. Sent to Estella Jennings Hodgson from Mary Smiley. Both women were former residents of Rawlins. Mrs. Hodgson's mother was one of the first Superintendents of Schools before WY became a state. She was also on the school board for years.
Update - March 2010: Black & white used postcard print. Image shows a main street with buildings of various architectural & material designs on each side of the street. Cars are parked at an angle with front wheels to the curb on both sides of the road. White building on side right border edge has an "A" frame roof with a flat roof to it's side left. A white lettered sign in the window reads: "Cafe".

Written on back in blue ink: Card is addressed to Mrs Newton Hodges, Mayfair Hotel, Los Angeles, Calif. Message is written in blue & black ink: to Mary concerning that the signator Mary was back home in Wyoming.
Written in blue green ink: "No. 473 - Catalog 4
Card is postmarked June 25, 1948 1 pm; cancelled stamp is a 1cent green George Washington.
Condition: Good. Emulsion has a swirling wavy finish. There are multiple impactions from writing on back & postmark. Edges are worn & abraded. There are many scratches in emulsion.Collection
