Two black & white copy prints. Panorama snapshots. Image of a large group of workmen posed in a line on a dirt field. At center of group is a sign: "Built by Contractor H. J. Cashman Material furnished by Overland Lumber Co" Bare trees & two buildings in background.
Print #1: 8 x 10" Written in lower corners on original print negative: "99" "loy" Written on back in blue ink: "Building the pen at Rawlins" Stamped in black ink on white adhesive label pasted to back: "Copy provided by the Wyoming State Archives and Historical Department"
Emulsion cracked at top center & center right; very slightly soiled.
Print #2: 8 x 10" Close-up with patterned background at top & bottom. Written on back in pencil: "Given History of Saratoga Committee" "Bill Torbett 10th from left" "Building of Penitentiary"
Left corners bent-emulsion cracked. Emulsion cracked in places throughout.
Update February 2011: Black & white original print.
Good condition. Creased vertically on right side, torn on top, soiled, corners bent, edges worn.
