Description

Unidentified group around 1915. Maybe on Pine between 3rd and 4th Streets, Rawlins Update - March 2010: Black & white unused postcard print. Image shows a group of men & women dressed in vintage clothing standing in an informal horizontal line on a dirt roadway. A white frame house is in background & a stone house is barely visible on side left edge. Man on far right is dressed in a dark long coat & a high crowned hat with brim. Several of the women are wearing elaborate hats with scarves tied over the tops of the hats. All the people appear to be dressed warmly. Written in pencil on back: "unidentified group around 1915" Printed on back in black ink: "Postcard at center top" "Correspondence Here at center left" "Name & Address Here at center right" "Top right a box with letters AZO forming the lines & a Place Stamp Here inside tiny box" Condition: Fair. Soiled front & back. Surface of emulsion is badly scuffed & dark areas are silvering. Print is worn at edges & corners. There are several indentions & wrinkles.
