Scope and Content

Ledger used by William Jungquist in the Hardware store, beginning Jan 1,1893 to 1902. Several papers saved in the ledger. Large book: 11 x 16, leather cover with dark red borders. Printed in gold letters on the spine: Ledger. Includes handwritten accounts with many names of early residents. Condition good. Wear on corners and some soiling. Overage folder located in File Cabinet 7, Drawer 4. Folder contains: Pieces of ledger sheets with various notes or letters written on them, receipts from businesses with letterheads, bills, etc. (some of them are blank). Some sheets of note: torn page 445 with list of "interest taken on the Ferris loan after the load was paid 3/3/1907" following this shows entries for Sept and March of 1908-Sept and March of 1911 (it is not clear what this means); on back of this sheet page 446 is a handwritten note to the Petroleum Co in regards to copper supplies that need shipping?? Bill to William Jungquist on Gus Jensen billing stationery dated 4/29/1899, with the question, "are you going to pay this?" Bill to Gust Jensen, 9/1/1899, on WM. Jungquist billing stationery. It lists charges and freight cost and goods returned, etc. Bill to WM Jungquist, 8/22-25,1900 from L. Wolff Manufacturing Co. Bill to WM Jungquist, 10/7/1900 from the Joseph Creswell Mfg. Co. Manufactureres and Jobbers of Steam, Gas and Water goods. (two sheets; Letter from Joseph Creswell, 8/17/1901 re: lack of payment from Mr. Jungquist Cut ledger paper Page 663, 8/1/1903, noting cash in bank. Accounting paper bill showing lists of items charged to Rendle Brothers Sheep Company 2/14-9/1/1900. Accounting sheet James Rendle to William Jungquist, 1902-1903. Letter written in pencil, 3/3/1910 re: incorporation of a mining company signed Armstrong and Brimmer.
