Mrs. Frances Johnson, 1912 or 1915. She owned the Bailey Hotel, Rawlins.
Update 2008:
A black and white studio print, taken by Peterson, Tacoma. Backdrop shows an ethereal cloudy scene. Frances has her dark hair in an updo with her left arm on her hip, and her right arm is hanging at her side. She is holding a feather fan. She is wearing a long cotton looking dress, with a lacy bolero with short sleeves. There is wide lace on the lower portion of the dress above the hem line. a single shoe toe is seen at left side. She is wearing wire rim or pince nez glasses. Outer textured ivory colored paper frame measures 8 1/4" x12 1/2" and has a darker beige back paper frame. A small white glued on tag on back has #539 printed in black ink. A black ink #539 is written on top back corner with glue? painted over it. Good condition, with slight wear on edges and minor scratches on print surface at top edge and tiny speck at bottom of frame.Collection
