Description

A sepia toned print which is attached to olive green acidic matboard. The image shows a group of men standing, sitting, reclining in irregular rows. They each have a musical instrument except for the reclining drum major in the front row & a seated man dressed in a dark 3-piece suit holding a hat at side right of row two. Most of the men are dressed in light colored slacks & a dark uniform jacket with the letters M W A on the jacket front. Most all men have on dark uniform hats with a decorative medallion on crown center. The drum major's uniform is light colored. A large elevated bass drum is at center back with the dark letters M.W.A. at top of drumskin & Camp No. 5572 at center & Rawlins, Wyo at lower edge of drum. A decorative patterned carpet is at foreground on which the men are situated. Fair condition. Matboard has been cut off at lower edge resulting in a jagged rough edge. Matboard is extremely worn with large crack in board & print at top right & lower edge. There are abraded edges & a slight tear on print lower edge. Side left & right have small holes along the edge. Mat & print are scuffed, scratched & scraped. There are several indentions, slight stains & fading. Back of matboard has paper remnants along top edge, flecks of residue & unknown tiny stains at various locations.
