Many of the trees appear dead. A large multi-storied, multidimensional wooden building is at left center with a large dirt hill to the right. A wooden trellis type extension extends from the structure to the dirt/rock hill in which two men are standing & an ore" car is at trellis end. A group of men are standing in an irregular horizontal line at center left foreground with one man seated on a barrel? A small stack of sealed bags is at foreground near a pathway in the snow leading to the man. A tiny #59 is at side left corner from negative process. Written on back in blue ink: New shaft of the Rudefeha mine taken the winter of 1899-1900, George Ferris one of the owners of the Mine is shown seated in the picture. The name Rudefeha was made up of the first two letters of the last names of the owners: James Rumsey, James Deal, George Ferris, and Ed Haggarty. A small white sticker on back left corner has Ferris Haggerty Mine written in pencil. Fair condition. Edges are rough from matboard being cut off with tear in top edge which is folded over slightly. There are many dark smudges, scuffs & scratches in top surface. Back side has few white spots of unknown origin.
