A pair of Shoshoni male and female Native American dolls made by Timbana. The male is a fancy dancer dressed in white buckskin leggings and tunic top with fringe. Geometric design of blue & orange beading down sleeves at side and down legs. Dark hair is in long braids with straw decoration at center of head falling down back of head. Feather bustle at lower backside with sequin medallion at center. Doll is mounted on one foot on a small circle of aspen? wood base. Base is 3 1/2" in diameter. Mocassins are decorated with maroon and white beads. Approximately 10 1/2" high from lower base to top of roach. #48-The female doll is mounted on a 3 3/8" diameter circle of aspen ? wood base. She is dressed in white buckskin leggings, skirt, and tunic top. All have fringe and orange and yellow bead design accents. The doll has long, dark braids with a headband composed of a circle of orange beads . A single feather is at the center back of the headband. Doll measures approximately 8 1/2" high. Donor states that the dolls were given to her by Robert L. Cook. He purchased them at the Golden Spike.
