Update 2009: Black and white print. Mounted on dark grey matboard. Image of a group of men surrounding a vintage automobile parked on an open dirt area. Buildings in background. Two men facing each other at center foreground; both dressed in long dusters-one on left has cap, one on right in cowboy hat.
Note: The year 1904 is written in two places on this card, but the New York to Paris race took place in 1908. it is questionable that this car is a Thomas Flyer and that the year is 1904.

Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat torn at lower right edge and corner bent. Other corners damaged. Nail hole in top center mat edge. Soiled front and back. Emulsion surface scratched; missing at center right edge. Lower left corner of image missing.Collection
