Update 2008: Black and white print affixed to dark gray matboard with fine black embossed parallel lines encompassing print around edges. Embossed black script at bottom center on mat: Newcomb. Salt Lake City, Utah. Horizontal print shows studio portrait of two older couples with two women seated in front and two men standing behind them. A brocade type wall hanging is behind them. Woman on left has gray hair pulled back in a updo with a black bow at crown rear. She is wearing a black shiny dress with high neck lace white collar with large cameo brooch at center neck front. The man behind her has dark hair with gray mustache, black suit, tie an high neck white collar showing. The woman on right has medium dark hair in an updo with dark bow on crown side. She is wearing a long sleeve white high neck white blouse with black choker type ribbed collar and a horizontal stickpin at center neck edge. The man standing behind her is balding in front and has a gray mustache. His three piece suit is lighter in color. He is wearing a white shirt with high neck collar and wide striped tie with large knot.

Good condition. Slight wear on matboard edges and print edges slight lifting of print at corners . Slight fading of print at lower edge. Several scratches in emulsion at various locations . Negative process created tiny white spots and black flecks at several locations, seen with magnifier.
There is one (1) 3 1/2 x 5" reprint which is lighter in color than original.Collection
