Written on back: [pencil] "53613" [black ink] "Cynthla Irwin & Dr. Agogino standing in bottom of pit examining coyote skeleton. At the time these pictures were taken it was not known that the skeleton was so recent as it was only a short distance above the Mankato clay. It was thought to be a dog or cat or some extinct species" "fall 1960".
