Date 1898/ 9, probably 1898. Lander and Saratoga stages picking up mail at PO after leaving Rankins barn where passengers get on. The two horse rig is driven by Phillips and his wife. The covered rig next is Miller's Mountain wagon with Walter Hyland driving and the team is old Mike and Frank. Near the camera, third from left is Fritz Dennison, who worked at the post office. First is C. B. Batsford, postmaster and owned the corner store in front of the post office. On up the street is Tom Cannon in front of his butcher shop. Second person up street from him is your Dad W. W. Daley. On the right, a boy, in his first pair of long pants and derby is Perce. Written on Hotel Benson, Portland, Oregon letterhead.
