UP Engine #492 Allison road sign.
Update 5/2010: A black and white glossy print and one copy. Image shows a steam locomotive pulling many railcars. A cowcatcher is at lower front of engine. Smoke is billowing from the smokestack. A small rectangular plate is attached to engine front at outer with the #492 on it, as well as on the cab. The second car has Rio Grande painted on side edge. Barren ground is in foreground. A small white sign with black lettering attached to a thin black post reads: " Allison".
Good condition. There are long vertical and circular cracks on each side of image and multiple scrapes in emulsion. There are surface irregularities from photo processing resulting in uneven emulsion. Fingerprints.
Copy Print: Size 10 1/2 x 8 1/2. Same as above with "Courtesy of Carbon County Museum. All Rights Reserved" printed on bottom.
