Black and white photograph. A white calf is walking between the ropes supporting a large tent. Written along the top edge of the photograph is "RAWLINS", along the bottom "BABY OKAPI (SACRED CALF)", vertically along the left "JULY 22", vertically along the right "1928". Printed on the reverse is the number 28, also present is a circular green stamp that reads "MEYERS PHOTOS PHOTO FINISHING RAWLINS, WYO".
Curator's note: Okapi are not a bovine animal, they are relatives of the giraffe with a brown body and black and white stripped hindquarters. The animal featured in this photograph is a regular cow.Collection
