Stagecoach in front of the Post Office and Saloon in Medicine Bow or is Wolcott? Two copies.
Update 2/2010: Black and white print. Snapshot mounted on black matboard. Image of a stagecoach drawn by a six-horse hitch-two white horses and four dark horses. Small front wheels and large back wheels on coach covered with dirt. Stagecoach loaded up with people inside and on top; man standing by door. Parked in front of a group of frame buildings.
Engraved on lower right: "The Ferris Studio Rawlins, Wyo."
Written on emulsion in lower right in pencil: "Ferris Taken by Rawlins Photographer."
Written in pencil on white adhesive label pasted on back: "Medicine Bow S/B Walcott."
Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size at top edges, edge rough and uneven. Corner damage. Mat back soiled and stained. Mat front badly soiled. Image surface badly soiled, fingerprints at right. Lower left corner of image loose and bent. Emulsion scratched.
Black & white copy print. 8 1/2 x 10" Printed on original image in black along lower edge: "Stage Coach & six - At Medicine Bow Wyoming Presented by Mr A.L. Konold, Retired Engineer Laramie, Wyo."
