Elks Home Talent Show, 1914. Ada and Carmen.
Update 2008: Black and white print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard. Image of a large group of people in costume or holding musical instruments seated on the steps of a stone building. Two individuals at back of group are holding a sign: "The Whiplo" Th' Town" B.P. [Elk Head} O.E. 609) Presented by A.A. Williams". Man mounted on horse at left to side of steps; dressed in riding pants tucked into high boots, dark coat, white shirt, tie and bowler hat. Man seated in a two-wheeled mule drawn car at center in front of steps; he is wearing a light colored duster, wide brimmed had and is smoking a cigar. Man at right is holding the handle of pick and is seated on a wooden wheelbarrow with large spoked wheel; he is wearing work clothes and a wide brimmed hat that appears to be tired under his chin with a wide scarf.
Two fluted columns at top of steps with wood porch railing to either side.
