Elks Home Talent Show, 1914.
Update 2008: Black and white print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard of a parade of people in costumes posed on the street in front of the Elks Lodge No. 609. Two individuals to left of center are holding a sign: "the whirlo' th" Town" B.P. [elk held] O.E. 609 Presented by A.A. Williams".
Building at center left is a two story stone structure with a raised foundation. Front has four columned porch and balcony with gabled roof. Clock at center of gable front with B.P.O.E at left and No. 609 at right.
Large multi-story building in background right. Sign on roofline "The Ferris". Tall first story with high windowed walls. Second and third stories white wood frame construction with many individual windows; second stroy windows have extended gabled tops. Roof line has flat facade with square decorative elements spaced along it. At center is a peaked section with carved leaf finial at corners and peak.
Engraved in black in lower right mat corner: "Photo by Jukes".
Written on back in blue ink: "Ada and Carmen Rivera 1914". "Before parade in front of Elks Home and Ferris Hotel-".
Written on back in blue ink: "In Elk's Home Talent Show Rawlins, Wyo. Ada and I sang "Maybe You're not the only one who loves me." I dressed in boys clothes. Carmen Rivera."
