A collection of Carbon County Records (legal documents) attesting to the elections won and the bondedness of the elected individual, people certified to be notary public, etc., 1874-1908;1914, with some years missing. Documents are of historical value due to the signatures of the earliest individuals in the settling of Carbon County and offices won. In addition there are notarized affidavits from the men who attested to the integrity of the elected or appointed individual and were willing to post bonds for them. In addition to these primary records, there are Miscellaneous Financial Records; State Tax Paid by County Documents; Tax Rebates and Correspondence, 1892-1897; 1912-1913; 1914-1916; Tax Rebates 1931, and a blank preprinted Territory (legal) Form containing bond and oath statement to be completed by the elected person, the bonders, the county clerk and the notary public.
