Three buggies with white tops up, parked in area - two in background & one at right. White canvas tent can be seen in foreground left. Most of the picnicers are women; all are in long dresses & most are wearing hats. Appear to be only 4 men in the group - one seated on back of buggy at right, one lying on the white cloth on the ground & two standing behind with five of the women. Large white cloth on ground at center set with all the food. Written on back: [blue ink] "picture" [black ink] "No 21". Mounted on acidic matboard. small liquid stain on lower left edge on back. Slight corner damage. Blue ink stain on mat front in lower right; dark stains at lower left & top center. Image surface slightly soiled; scuffed & scratched. See also 1948.040.0106.
