2010.1052.8.1Description
Sepia toned, superimposed oval view, inside a rectangular print. The print is attached to a tan matboard which has been cut off. Image shows a barren landscape in foreground with multiple buildings & structures at center & distant areas. An early day steam locomotive with a turnip stack is on railroad tracks side right. Among the buildings at center area is a two story hotel like building with large smokestack at side left behind building. Window on top level of hotel is the shape of one rebuilt after a fire in 1872. A building closest to foreground is the Rawlins Metallic paint Mill. Pigment from this mill was used for additive to paint for the Brooklyn Bridge. A building with a steeple is in the distance. Side railroad tracks are beside several buildings. Printed on mat bottom right: {"Salt Lake city, Utah"

Fair condition. Creased, ripped, liquid stain, emulsion impacted, bottom corners torn off, accretion, faded, mat cut down, adhesive tape on back, liquid spots.
