Description

Native American flute made by Frank Oachoa and purchased from him by the Museum. Flute is contructed of cedar wood, 19.5" long and 1.25" in diameter Wooden pipe is hollowed out with six finger holes placed on lower front of pipe, an open hole on the actual lower end 1.25" in diameter and a .25" diameter open air hole at the actual top of the pipe for blowing the player's breath in. There is a light colored, notched, rectangular, unpainted adjustable wooden piece tied on top at upper end. It is tied with a black soft suede leather ribbon for regulating sound. This piece measures .25" x 5/8." There is a forest green felt carrying case made for the flute.
