Photo of William Daley raising the flag at Ft. Phil Kearney on July 3, 1908. Two originals and one copy. Update - 2009: Black & white print with two originals and one copy of William Daley raising a flag with his back to the left and a side view of his arms raised and holding the flagpole rope. He is dressed in a dark suit & wearing a high crown light colored hat. He is standing in a field with high foliage. Original 1 - 6 1/8 x 7 7/8" is Print attached to dark grey mat which has been cut off with irregular edge. On mat back is a green & red circular sticker 1 3/4" in diameter with white print: James & Perry Kodak Camera, Photosupplies, Sheridan, Wyo Written in blue ink: Copied by State. Good condition Print is highly soiled with smudges, scratches, and dirt? on center and center top right. Unknown residue on right edge. Original 2 - 6 1/4 x 8 1/4" attached to black mat which has been cut off. Has irregular edges. Good condition with light soiling, dark smudges & developing anomalies of white circle at center and at left edge. Scratch top left edge. Reprint - 5 x 7" - Fair condition. Print has large crack & crease in emulsion & print extending at an angle side left to side right lower edge and top corner right and left. Other imperfections include few wrinkles, indention, and dark print standard on back showing through to top surface. Typed on a sticker affixed to back: William Daley. Stamped on back: copy provided by the Wyoming State Archives and Historical Department. 184 stamped corner right.
