Photo of men shearing sheep and one copy
Update - 2009: A black & white print depicting the inside of a wooden sheep shearing shed. An extremely long narrow wood table? lines entire side wall. Men are bent over in a single long vertical row each shearing a sheep with hand clipping shears. The man closest to camera is gazing up while his right hand is clipping and his left hand is holding the lamb securely. He is wearing a cut off mid elbow length shirt. He has a protective apron which is tied to his legs over his pants. The upper chest piece is held by shoulder straps with metal buttons. To his left rear is a wooden tool box stacked on the rail of his stall area. Long batches of string are hanging down from ceiling above him and hanging down in progressive rows over other men in their small stall areas. A single young man in coveralls?, white shirt, and hat is seen standing left side background.
There are two originals and one copy print.
Copy print is good condition, light in color, measures 3 1/2" x 5", has irregular developing border.
Original 1, good condition, has tiny white sticker on back with word "ranching" written in pencil. Print has slight soiling and wear with worn corners. Top left corner is bent. Minor scratches in emulsion. Very few tiny white spots from developing process. Scuff marks on backside.
Original 2 has tiny white sticker on back with word "sheep ranching" in pencil. Minor soiling on top and back surface with some smudges and scuffing. Minor scratches in emulsion left side. Top left corner slightly bent.
March 2011: One black & white print.
