A black and white unused postcard print of two men wearing suits sitting in an open four wheel (large wooden) buggy which is hitched to a two team bull elk team. Open expanse of countryside is at the sides and background of scene. Good condition. Printed on back in black print at top left: Wapitis Hitched to Buggy This unusual photograph shows a pair of elk with impressive antlers hitched to a buggy belonging to a buggy belonging to C. H. Shields. it was taken near Edgelay, North Dakota. The term "wapiti" is a Shawnee term meanaing "white rump." Photographed in 1893 by hiram H. Wilcox. (other print matter is on the card at side left). UPC code is at top right corner with spaced five lines underneath on the right side. New condition.Collection
