Update 2008: A black and white glossy snapshot of the BPOE No. 609 building. Large two story sandstone building with four large Grecian columns on the front wide porch supporting a second stroy open short white railing fenced terrace porch which overhangs the lower level porch and entryway. On building front at apex of roof beneath the top eaves is a large circular clock with wheat sheaths surrounding bottom and upper sides of outer edges of clock. Hands show 11:00 o'clock. to left of clock are large letters affixed to building: B.P.O.E. and to right of clock are letters and numbers: No. 609. There are two windows seen on building front. One on left and right of wide entry door. There are hansoms above these tall windows and the door. Ornate support brackets are positioned underneath eaves of roof edges sides and front and upper secondary eaves over second story terrace roof. Front and sides of building have small fenced in flower beds with hollyhocks and other plants. The front and side streets are paves. A small street sign is painted on front curb, Buffalo. There are two standing lamp posts-one at corner on right sidewalk edge. A dark vintage car is parked at an angle in front of building side left . A small brick building is partially seen on side left of Elks Building. A tall flag pole is on front building left corner side.
Condition fair. Photo is soiled front and back. Corners are bent and worn. Emulsion is worn on all outer edges. There is a very large semi circular scratch on left side of print as well as other less severe scratches in emulsion. Photo seems to have yellowed slightly.Collection
