Description

Black & white studio portrait print. Image of a man standing with his right arm resting on a studio prop. He wears a dark vest, long matching jacket, white shirt, medium colored bow tie & medium colored corduroy pants. A large chain & watch fob are attached to the vest. His left thumb is in his pants pocket with fingers out & down. His hair is cut short & thinning & he has a large dark mustache. A white adhesive tag on bottom reads: "Jim Lacey" It partially covers the photographers name printed in gold. On right bottom in gold: "Denver, Col." Written on back in black: "Jim Lacey lynched at stock yards Rawlins with Opium Bob for good of community Third Party Carter escaping" Printed in gold: "Chas Bohm Photographer 284 Fifteenth St. Denver, Col. Portraits in crayon, water colors & India Ink a speciality. Negatives preserved. Duplicates may be obtained at any time." In blue ink: "1882?" Good condition. Curled, soiled, creased, scuffed, fingerprints. Size 4 1/4 x 6 1/2"
