Original photo of Ferris Mansion.
Update 2008: Black and white print attached to gray matboard that has been cut off around all edges. Photo depicts the Ferris Mansion built by George and Julia Ferris at 607 W. Maple Street when completed. Newly planted, dormant trees show across front and left side lawn. Ornate black metal fence that runs along sandstone three brick retaining wall in front. House is three story ornate structure of brick with sandstone at base along ground level with five basement windows showing. Tall windows are seen on structure side with a wide portico type porch on left side of house front and gazebo type porch on right side of house front. Supports rise from white pilaster and short railing enclosed to lower porch roof edge. They are cylindrical shaped white columns. There are four dormer type windows at third floor area of different sizes. A turret wing is seen on right side. The roof of porches an house are clay tiled. Barren land is seen in foreground side left and a white frame house is seen in background side right. Stain glass windows are seen at second floor level at center side. A small enclosed porch type area is seen at rear of house with a lawn jockey to left.
Good condition. Light soiling on all edges with dark smudges throughout. Slight black residue top left edge. Very tiny black flecks on print at various locations, cause unknown.
There are two 92) glossy reprints 3 1/2 x 4 3/4", slightly darker in tone than original.
Update March 2011: One 5 x 7 black & white copy print.

Good condition. Curled, top & bottom torn, top left creased, circular scratch in center.
