Update 2008: Sepia print. Photo of three ladies washing clothes and a man sitting in a chair. Man is leaning forward a bit with his left arm, hand facing up in his lap. He has on a hat and jacket (work). One lady is standing in front of a big pot over a fire. She has a long handled stick with which she is stirring the clothes. To the right are two ladies standing to the right of a wooden bench upon which are two lard barrels. These two ladies appear to be hand washing something inside the two barrels. There is a big two story house in the left background with a wooden fence between the house and the people.
Print is mounted on light colored matboard. All four corners are frayed. There is a small tear bottom left. Stains bottom right as well as right center. Soiled all over frame. Emulsion scratched. Back stained and soiled. Small tear mark upper left corner and lower right corner. Written in pencil "Mr. and Mrs. Winterringer and the two girls."Collection
