1921 Essex that was made by Frank Keefe and Walt Lambertsen and ran the July 4 race from Rock Springs to Pinedale and back. They won first prize, $250. Top speed was 50 miles per hour and the only car that came back to the finish line.
Update March 2011: One black & white print. Image of a vintage car front. There is a mesh covering most of the front with a small sign attached to top that reads: "Essex Motors". Near the bottom is a sign tied on that has: "D-14". Front axle is visible & is connected to spoke wheels on each side. A spare tire & wheel is attached to driver's side of the car. A young girl stands on photo left & car is surrounded by men & boys. The driver & passenger have on bomber caps with ear flaps & goggles on caps.
Embossed on bottom right: "A. St. Croix Photographer"
Good condition. Badly wrinkled, creased, stain on top border, soiled, scraped.
