Photo of Ed Bennett and his horse, Doll, delivering with wagon in front of the Ferris-McGhee Drug Store taken after 1912 or 1913.
Update 2/2008: Black and white print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard. Image of a man on a single horse-drawn flat-bed wagon. Man is dressed all in black and is wearing a hat. Horse has a white blaze down its face. Buildings and wood boardwalk in background. Sign in window: "Ferris Maghee Drug Co. Photo Supplies".
Written in blue ink on back: "Ed F. Bennett about 1913. Old Doll the delivery horse and wagon in the west side of Ferris Hotel. This "Old yaller mare" as they called the buckskin horse was used many years on the delivery wagon. Then when she was too old and Ed retired her to pasture at Cherokee a few miles west of Rawlins for several years she stayed there[.] She got out of the pasture and came home 121 W. Pine Str. The Ed Bennett house and died." "Given by Ed F. Bennett Rawlins, Wyo."

Written on back in red pencil: "Page 38, pix 4 2 1/2 x 3"
Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down to image edges irregular. Upper left corner missing and torn-emulsion cracked. Image surface soiled, scuffed and scratched.
2010: Second original 6 15/16 x 10, black and white print. Written on back in pencil: "Ferris Hotel Ed. F. Bennett". On a white adhesive label pasted to back: "Buggies, wagons, ect [sic]. " Stamped on back in black ink: "Meyers Studio Rawlins, Wyoming."
Surface missing on back at center top edge. Paper wrinkled. Corner damage. Upper left corner bent and emulsion cracked, upper and lower right corners bent and crazed near center bottom; slightly scratched and dented. Accretion on surface in lower right corner.
Two(2) 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 black and white copy prints.
