Update - 2009: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on grey-green matboard with floral border. Image of four Indian/Native American women standing in front of a canvas tipi. All have blankets wrapped around them. Wagon behind tipi; pile of equipment(?) or supplies (?) at left. Hills in background.
Engraved in lower left mat margin: "Ferris-Maghee Drug Co".
Written on back in blue ink: [cut off] slaughter house at Rawlins - about 1900 or between 1900 & 1904 - These Indians were likely Arapaho or Shoshonies" [sic] [SHOSHONE] "39%" Copies by State" "3".
Written in pencil on white adhesive label pasted to back: "Indians".
Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat cut down from original size - writing on back cut off. Edges rough & uneven. Lower mat on front soiled. Corner damage. Image surface soiled & scratched.
