Old Rawlins Jail.
Update - 2009: Black & white print of dirt street in front of three old buildings. Another large building in distance has a flat roof with many chimney looking extensions on top & looks like rock sides. It is the railroad roundhouse. Building on photo right is clapboard & has a stone structure connected. It was originally built as William Granger's Store in 1874. Stone portion has a door with a window on each side, only a window shows on other portion of building. In photo center is smaller building of wood that has a flat front facade, one door & window, Mager's Store with Saloon. The street is South Front.
The Granger's Store (stone building) was built in 1874. The Mager's Store & Saloon (to right of Granger's Store) built in 1890's.
Written on bottom front in white on original negative: "OLD RAWLINS JAIL" (Rans said this is misinformation as it is in the wrong location to be the jail.)
Condition: Good. Emulsion impacted, creased.Collection
