Felix Alston to be the first state warden. It is unclear what newspaper he took this information from. C. Nichols and wife bought the Catholic School which is now a parking lot between businesses on north side of Cedar Street and 4th. Dr. Nochols converted the building into a hospital. Others involved: Dr. Raymond Barber, Dr. Griffith Maghee and Attorney A. J. Rosier. Dr. Nichols offered treatment for alcoholism. This is a lengthy story listed in this notebook on the last page. Dr. Nichols left Rawlins. It turned out that Dr. Nichols had cheated the medical system and did not have a full degree and was caught in Peoria, Illinois. The hospital was a success until it burned down in 1918.
