Update March 2011: Black & white print card of a horse on it's back with feet in the air & a cowboy on the ground partially beneath the horse. More cowboys & horses are in the background along a tall board corral with a bucking chute. Printed on bottom in white: "John Skipp mix up with Chili Bean" "Meyers 31"
Printed on back: "POSTCARD" "CORRESPONDENCE" "ADDRESS" "AZO" & a square around "PLACE STAMP HERE"
Good condition. Scratched, creased, liquid spots, small indents. Size 3 1/2 x 5 1/2"
Edit 7/18/2023 by Kelia McCuddy: This is a photograph of John Louis Shipp at the Carbon County Fair September 4th 1931. John was from Rock springs Wyoming annd came to Rawlins for the Carbon County Fair. He Died September 4th 1931 during a bucking horse contest while performing for spectators at the Carbon county fair. He was riding the horse when the animal reared and fell backwards with the rider. It is said that the saddle horn pierced his stomach. His official cause of death was a ruptured aorta.Collection
