Update March 2011: Black & white print & one copy of a service station. In photo center is a clapboard building with a large canopy extension supported by two square posts on brick bases in front. On the roof is a sign that reads: "Aero Filling Station" and a brick chimney. Signs hanging beneath canopy: "Engines cleaned" "Drive Slowly" "Crank Cases Drained Free". Two vintage vehicles are parked under the canopy & a man looks under the hood of one. A large vertical tank on concrete supports is on photo right of station. A dark metal building with roll open doors is behind tank. Painted on the roof & end in white: "HiWay Oils and Aero Gasoline Wholesale & Retail" Two men are behind another car at the tank, another car is at the end of the tank. A vintage truck with a tank in the back is parked at the end of the building. Several barrels are stacked at the end of the building. On photo left are two clapboard houses, one has four posts under a porch roof. In the distance are more buildings, one with a "Blacksmithing" sign on the roof. High line poles & lines are overhead.
Written on back in pencil: "Aero filling station Corner 8th & Cedar" In blue ink: "First gasoline station in Rawlins"
Good condition. Creased, emulsion impacted by writing on back, developing anomaly on emulsion on left side, bottom edge worn. Size 7 x 17"
