Description

Color snapshots, 10 views of a Rawlins Parade in 1967. Update July 2011: 10 color snapshot prints of parade on Cedar Street in Rawlins. View 1. A small size Union Pacific train consisting of an engine & 4 cars with the last car full of children. There are 2 box cars, a tanker & the open car. It is turning a circle in the street. Business buildings on the north side of the street are "Cafe", "Western Auto", "Ben Franklin". Cars & people are on the sides of the street. On the photos stamped on back in red: "Kodacrome Print Made by Kodak Aug 67 PA". Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 2. Three Cowgirls on horseback with banners across their chest. One says: "Rodeo Queen" & one "Lady in Waiting" Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 3. A red truck with back decorated & native Americans riding on the back in native attire. People are on the center median in the street. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 4. A Drill Team is dress in red & white & walking east on Cedar Street. Signs on business buildings. "Harris Jewelers" "Rainbow Hotel". Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 5. A crowd of people in foreground looking at large decorated trucks coming down the street. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 6. The back of a flat bed truck covered with white paper that hangs down. Written on the paper: "Dancing Nightly" "Girls, Girls, Girls." A board railing is on the top of the flat bed & women dressed as dance hall girls are standing there. A sign beyond them reads: "Check Guns Here". Good condition. size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 7. A marching band led by marjorettes. Band is wearing dark pants, red & white shirts & hats. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 by 3 1/2" View 8. A marching band dressed in dark pants, white shirts, red sashes & dark hats with a top red feather. Drummers are in front. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 9. A lady's riding group. They are all riding palomino horses & the women are wearing red pants & vests & white shirts & hats. The lead riders are carrying American & a Colorado flag. Later riders have blue flags & red & white flags. Horses are performing,. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" View 10. A men's riding group. Men are wearing gold shirts & ivory neck scarves & hats. They carry the American Flag & another that is only partially visible. "Laramie" "Cheyenne, Wyoming" with a drawing of a badge. Good condition. Size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"
