Saratoga bridge, west span after wreck of Dec. 3, 1943. It was hit by a truck load of logs at 8:30 p.m.
Update 3/2010: Two black and white prints of collapsed tressel bridge. A semi and tailer loaded with logs is sitting among the debris. The tressel are bent and broken around the truck.
1. Written on the back in pencil: "Saratoga Bridge: West Span wrecked by truck load of logs 8:30 pm Dec 3, 1943-close up of truck". Condition good. Creased vertically, corners bent, emulsion impacted by writing on back.
2. Written on back in pencil: "Old Saratoga Bridge (Con.)" "#3 of 3 views". "Close up of truck load of logs that wrecked bridge. See views #1 & 2 for description of bridge and accident. Gross wt. of truck and load =21000#." "WHF/12/5/43". Condition good. Scratched, creased. Writing on back has impacted emulsion. Size 3 3/8 x 5 3/4.Collection
