Description

Masonic Temple, Rawlins, 1922 Update July 2011: Black & white print on post card paper. Image of a multi-level stone building with crown molding along top edge & a raised wall at roof corner with spires at each end, on which is written: "Masonic Temple 1908". Double doors are on the corner below with a pillar on each side holding up a small roof. Steps from the sidewalk go up to the door. Small trees are around sides. Printed in black on top left: "Masonic Temple Rawlins, Wyo." Printed on back in black: "POSTCARD" "This space for message" "This Space for Address" Down the middle: "Postcards of Quality - The Albertype Co., Brooklyn, N.Y." Addressed to: "Mrs. S. Sidlon" Message: "Have been very busy ..... Love from Mrs. MacPherson" Postmark in black circle: "Baggs, Wyo. June 23 1922 6 AM" A green stamp: "US Postage 1 Cent 1" and a profile of Thomas Jefferson. Good condition. Top corners creased & tack hole at top center, pencil markings on lower right.
